What is MMO about?

Are you passionate about the ocean and marine mammals? Not only is the MMO course a great way to learn about about marine mammals, but it qualifies delegates to work offshore mitigating impacts of underwater noise to marine mammals from offshore industries such as renewables, pile driving for the construction of offshore wind farms.

Ocean Watch's MMO course  is JNCC approved;  taught by an instructor with 10+ years' experience  working as an MMO and 5+ years delivering MMO training.  The course will cover all the information needed for work as a MMO in UK waters, providing information on marine mammal monitoring, marine mammal mitigation, impacts of underwater noise and working as a MMO in renewables and other sectors.
